Once traders move into live markets, their every keystroke is monitored in real time by Select Vantage’s surveillance system, which is integrated with our market-data and trading platform.

The system is designed to detect suspicious patterns and behavior, from unusually high winning (or losing) percentages and order fill rates to order-cancellation activity that might indicate attempted market manipulation.

One module identifies and internally matches offsetting orders from different traders, to prevent wash sales. And our trading platform will automatically cut off traders who exceed risk limits from initiating new positions.

Once certain loss ratios are hit and time limits for turning them around are exceeded, our systems automatically close those traders’ positions.
