For the past few years, Canadian businessman Daniel Schlaepfer has been suing ASIC while it investigated his day trading business. One of the sides has laid down arms. And no, it isn't Schlaepfer.

His firm told clients in Toronto on Wednesday that ASIC had completed its investigation into Select Vantage for possible contraventions of the Corporations Act, deciding against any enforcement action.
